September - The Seasonal Postcards, Vol. 2

I know we're well into September, but it's that in-between month for me – not quite summer, not quite autumn, though I'm starting to spot some colorful hints here and there. Every September, I make it a point to visit an apple orchard, and this year, I kept the tradition alive with my baby girl by my side. There's this one orchard I go to every Autumn, and I'll share more about it in a bit. On a sunny day, strolling through the orchard is just perfect, and there's nothing like the taste of freshly plucked apples – it's pure luxury!

I'm always on the hunt for unique vintage pieces for my ongoing house renovation. I often stumble upon amazing items that I wish I had more space for. One of the coolest things about vintage treasure hunting is that it can take you to hidden gems you never knew existed. Like these beautiful blue and white vases – they're like a cultural revelation. Now, the city of Delft is high up on my list of places to visit in Europe.

Now, if you're looking for a September adventure, Cambo Gardens is the place to be. The perennial naturalistic gardens are at their absolute best, with lush grasses, blooming perennials, and even those dried seed head flowers that have seen better days but still look like sculptures in the borders – it's downright magical. Plus, it's the only garden in Scotland that embraces this planting style.

Cambo Gardens

Cambo's charming 2.5-acre walled garden has been around since the 1800s, and it's always evolving. You'll find something fascinating here no matter when you visit. In the winter, it's all about the beautiful snowdrops collection, and as the seasons roll on, you'll witness the garden transform into a one-of-a-kind naturalistic and prairie wonderland – a true Scottish gem!
